There are
two possible ways to find out the flexible portion of the transformation.
We know how to find the rigid portion of the transformation. One is what is called as a finite element model for the flexibility in which basically we assume that each link or member can be divided into small number of finite elements and at each finite element we have a nodal displacement, a nodal displacement of this form and a nodal rotation, a nodal displacement and another nodal rotation. We can find out by using traditional methods of finite element what these displacements and rotations correspond to. I will skip those. | ![]() |
