Actually there are experiments which have been carried out during a Bright Eurom program. A specimen of concrete was heated from the left-hand side, it was high performance concrete and what has been carried out is the thermal field has been measured by thermo-couples and the water content by means of Gamma rays attenuation.
And this has been used for calibration and heat transport phenomena for the numerical code and for its validation.
