The final example is the same, but now we show the compaction and the subsidence versus production time.
You see the lower diagram. There is the compaction of the reservoir both with or without water injection, they are almost the same. You see also when the injection started and when the water injection stopped, and the lower one is without water injection, so you see that water injection is quite useful. This example shows that water injection may be a useful way to reduce surface subsidence due to oil pumping. It is however not useful in case of gas pumping because in that case water injection may disrupt the flow of gas towards the well.
What I wanted to show in this lecture is that fully coupled model, if they are properly calibrated, can be very useful to give predictions of surface subsidence.
