The errors
arising out of testing of the requirements phases may be classified. They
are: missing information, wrong information and extraneous information.
The missing information is something like missing function-interfaces, performance reliability, consistence, etc. The wrong information is basically the deviations from the original intentions, contradictions, inconsistencies, ambiguities, untestables, not traceable. It is a wrong information if more than one person is developing the software. The sort of a document that is required to record it is very important. So, while testing also, this has to be recorded and this should be communicated. The extraneous information is something which is going to mislead, so it is better to identify what it is. It is often irrelevant and diverting sort of information. | ![]() |
