After this very busy discussion we presented our conclusions and recommendations for the ground water management in Patancheru industrial area.
First the present situation and effects. Part of the industrial and municipal waste water is treated in two common affluent treatment plants.
The treatment efficiency is obviously not sufficient. There is a discharge of untreated industrial effluents to surface water and unlined tanks. Therefore sources of pollution which are point solutions, or point-pollution and scattered pollution.
The high levels of contamination in ground water and surface water are high, too high as far as the Arsenic, Cadmium, Borum, Chromium, Fluoride, Manganese, Nickel and Selenium are concerned.
There happens ground water exploitation for agriculture in industrial purposes. Heavy pumping induces ??? pitch and lateral extension of the ground water pollution.
Finally the inorganic, organic and bacteriological contamination of tanks which are used for domestic water supply is a reality.
