Contaminants migration is extending up to 500-600 meters from the Nakkavagu and the eastern part during the last 20 years.
The model has been used for making predictions for 2007.
There is further deterioration of water quality in the region was predicted for the present loading conditions.
The groundwater modelling studies indicate the contaminant migration is extending up to 500-600 meters on the eastern part of Nakkavagu if the present loading is continued for the next 20 years. Now the government under the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board is imposing restrictions on the common effluent treatment plant in the far discharging there waste water in the Nakkvagu.
The present study also confirms the findings from groundwater and the NGRI studies, where the trace elements like Arsenics, Selenium, Strontium were still available in groundwater.
