The Chloride concentration varied from 24 to 3.000 milligrams per litre in granites, whereas in the alluvium it is reported ranging from 60 to 7.100 milligrams per litre. And the suitability of groundwater based on the TDS concentration for domestic use is less than 500 milligrams per litre. Among the thirty-seven samples we have collected, one sample is fit for domestic use. For irrigation use the range prescribed for TDS concentration is 500 to 1000 milligrams per litre, so ten samples are falling in this range. For industrial use it can be more than 1.000 milligrams per litre the TDS concentration, 26 samples collected in the area are in this high range. | ![]() |
