Now I will present the water quality analyses measured made at National Research Geophysical Institute during 1997/98. The Calcium content in granite rocks varied from 52-650 milligrams per litre, whereas it ranged from 42-1.680 milligrams per litre in the alluvium.
Magnesium concentrations varied from 34 to 550 milligrams per litre in the granites, whereas in the alluvium it about 24 to 375 milligrams per litre.
Sodium concentrations were found to be in the range of 35 to 1.500 milligrams per litre in the granites, whereas it was in the lower concentration of 34 to 490 milligrams per litre in the alluvium.
Very high concentration of Potassium is found in Netaji Nagar, eastern part of Patancheru, industrial estate as a result of groundwater contamination from the effluents.
