Sarangapani inventoried 64 wells during 1994, which gives a historical data in this area. There used to be 20-30 wells in use during that time, and most of them, over 80% of them covered as dug wells, and 70% are borewells, others are dug-cum borewells or filter points. These measurements were carried out during May 1994.
