There are three sets of joints form among the geology and structural features. The joints are found trending north north-west to north east south west and east-west directions. Most of the joints are vertical or near vertical. The lineaments guide the course of Nakkavagu. The lineaments connecting Nakkavagu and the wells located on it have found yielding polluted water.
