The porosity of the alluvium is about 39 to 43% and the permeability is varying from 2.5 meters in the granites to 100 meter per day in the alluvium. The well inventory include 60 wells, which are irrigation wells, dug wells, bore wells, and filter points. The auger borewells of 10 centimetres dia are shallow, which have depths up to 10 to 15 meters in the alluvium.
