So you see
that on the left is the magnetic lasso or which is the tool in the PhotoShop
and on the right is the tool we have developed which selects region based
upon with hierarchical segmentation. You see here how difficult it is to use magnetic lasso because you have to carefully place a boundary on the object you want to select, and even then you can make a mistake. But if you use the tool that we have you can quickly draw a rough sketch and immediately build a selection. This selection might not be right, so you would like to add something that is missing to it and you can draw a stroke and immediately it gives you vision of the missing thing, and so you have the selection. Now you can control the fineness of it by changing the granularity of it, which means that granularity lets you scan the image segmentation tree and so you can add or subtract segments. | ![]() |
