Assume that the computer is made intelligent using some techniques. How to check whether the computer is really intelligent or not? Alan Turing proposed the test known as the "Imitation game" or "Turing test". The test is as follows. A computer and a human being are kept in two different rooms. An interrogator sit in another room without knowing where the computer is. The interrogator will communicate with the computer and the human being through a teletypewriter and ask them a series of questions. If the interrogator is unable to make out in which room the computer is, i.e., if the machine is able to keep the interrogator in doubt, then the computer can be said to be intelligent. Unfortunately, even today, there is no single computer which has passed this test.
