The super micro-system architectures evolved over the last eighteen years starting with a simple 8085 based micro-computer and 6502 based processors. It has graduated from 8 bit to 16 bit to 32 bit to 64 bit architectures. The evolution of CISC processors started with 8086 family. In parallel, Motorola processor based systems also evolved. The VAX system evolved from PDP and VAX, along with Intel race, though it could not match as a commercial success. Another noteworthy processor is AMD K-6.
