The high requirement for computational power is reflected in the grand challenges of research which include numerical analysis, high performance computational biology, scaleable hierarchical particle algorithms for galaxy formation, convective turbulence and mixing in astrophysics, high performance computational chemistry, aircraft design, molecular biology, etc. These are some of the situations which have great challenges as for as the development and the evolution of computer architecture is concerned.
If we look at the computational perspective, what we can see is the humans have the potential to handle lot of computational issues; but then it is monotonous to handle and automation is required. The computational resources also are not freely available and networking with databases on global basis is required. There is a good possibility of addressing security issues in the next 5 top 10 years.
