By means the identification procedure, it is possible to obtain a curve of the residual which can be related with the draft of the system of our rotor. Where the residual reaches its minimum there is the location of the defect. In the figure there is a comparison between two different identifications of the same model by using the two different methods: the displacement method and the force method.
