There is another method for performing the identification procedure. We define this method as the force method. The first step is to calculate the force in the bearings by means of the relative displacement measure between the journals and the bearings and of calculating of the oil film stiffness and damping.
So we can represent the action of the structure like an external forcing. You can see here that the expression is composed by the stiffness matrix of the bearing plus the damping matrix of the bearing times the relative velocity between the journal and the bearing.
Let us consider the dynamical equation. In the right side we have now two kind of force. One is due to the fault models and the other to the bearings. Then the procedure, with some different algebra, follows on as in the previous identification procedure.
