The life cycle cost is very hard to be computed. I show here the mathematical expression of life cycle cost. The life cycle cost is the cost to purchase at the time being the vehicle. Here we have a number of additional costs which refer to the maintainance, to the exercise cost and to other costs which are related to it. So we can see here that there is a summation between the first year and the n-th year of life of the vehicle, and along with this life span, the rate which is used to actualise the sum will change in an unpredictable way. These actualisation values are actually difficult to be computed because i is not known. So the life cycle cost is a clear concept but is very difficult number to be computed.
