We varied only four parameters:
- "b2" which refers to the position of the centre of the contact surface of the rocker;
- "rf" which again is a geometrical dimension;
- "ss" spring stiffness;
- "sp" spring pre-load.
We varied only four parameters, we again used a sequential unconstrained
minimisation technique algorithm to solve the problem. Here is what we have
obtained: the original system has got a flash temperature which is much over
150°C and the optimised system has a flash temperature which is much less than
120°C. No important comment can be made for the work of specific friction
forces because we can see here the optimal system is far better with respect to
the previous one.
